Jett Lawrence made an out of character rare error at Hangtown going down hard while leading race one, finishing 24th followed by a fighting 6th in race two, but he was suffering with a leg injury.

Lawrence spoke to Jason Thomas after the moto and said: “I used all my my upper body in the first part and was feeling okay, once that got tired, I tried using my legs and my leg wouldn’t work. I landed on the foot peg and got a chunk taken out, less muscle you could almost say! It sucks, go back and recover, it’s going to make it a better story in the long run.”
