Video: Jett Lawrence – wanted to demolish the MXGP class!

Jett Lawrence pulled no punches in admitting he wanted to “demolish” the MXGP riders at the MXoN to prove he was the fastest rider on the planet.

Jett only won one of three motos, having come from behind impressively in the first two that saw Prado win on Saturday and become the first rider to beat Jett outdoors on a 450 this year! Febvre then won moto one on Sunday, with Jett then scorching to the final moto over Ken Roczen with Renaux, the top GP regular in third, and MXGP champ, Prado, stuck behind Renaux all moto and not able to get into clean air to see if he could go with Roczen and Lawrence – but Lawrence’ pace was white hot.

So is he now the fastest man on the planet? It might be hard to argue until prime Jeffrey Herlings comes back and Jett acknowledged Jeffrey and Eli weren’t at Ernee.

“I wanted to demolish the MXGP class,” asserted Jett. “Wanted to make sure that besides racing Eli and obviously Jeffrey too (both injured), that, I can almost say I’m the fastest in the world, and I think I would, if I’d started up there I would have beat’em – I would like to hope so.

“I think I backed it up in the second moto, the only other person that was close was Kenny, and he’s over here in America. I think the next MXGP rider was 35 seconds back I think it was? It was good to check out and hush ’em a bit so they don’t get too ahead of themselves with getting too confident.”
