Jeffrey Herlings crashed hard out of the lead in Germany in the first moto under big pressure from Jorge Prado who said Herlings was full throttle and he was, “waiting for a mistake.”
The mistake came when Herlings got cross-rutted and went over the bars in a brutal crash allowing Prado to take the win but Herlings remounted and slowly finished the race, cruising the last two laps in big pain and pointing at his shoulder.
It could be another broken collarbone for the Dutchman but Herlings, the tough man he is refused to pull out until he saw the chequred flag and got a solitary point for his efforts, but this is now Prado’s championship to lose, with a nearly 50 point advantage.
