Jago Geerts and Kay de Wolf put on a sand riding clinic for the rest of the field at Riola.
The flying duo put 15 seconds on Simon Laengenfelder, who held strong for half the race, then won the second moto by a huge 40 seconds over Thibault Benistant, such was their intensity and desire to win the overall, with Geerts getting the edge going 2-1 to de Wolf’s 1-2.
It was a joy to watch them both do their thing in the sand and see the momentum they could carry over the bumps for 30 minutes plus two laps. See them in action below:
