Cole Davies paid Haiden Deegan back for the hit last year to move Deegan out of his way then hold on for the win after Deegan went to return the favour but crashed trying to put Davies in his place!
Deegan then crashed again to end his hopes of the win as he tried to charge back up to Davies as the Kiwi put the world on notice that he is the next big thing in Supercross once he moves to the 450 class which could be as soon as 2028.
Davies said: “That was a great race, we made it happen the pressure was off. It was fun racing like that cat and mouse. I learnt from last year not to let that happen again!”
Deegan was a good sport at the end as was even smiling as he exited the track and laughing about the race with his mechanic! A grinning Deegan said: “I have to give it to Cole, that was a dogfight, that was awesome!”
