Eli Tomac took a huge leap towards his second 450 supercross title when Jason Anderson, who had been staying with Tomac after Eli passed him for the lead, went down and hit his head resulting in another crash when he wobbled off the track and was forced into a costly DNF.

Anderson now sits tied with Stewart for second but both are 42 back of Star Yamaha man Tomac. Anderson was only 6 back two rounds ago, showing just how quickly things change in AMA supercross.
It was a night of crashes and carnage at Detroit that saw four big names DNF; Anderson, Sexton, Webb and Ferrandis, allowing Tomac to race clear of the field, now seemingly unchallenged for the 2022 supercross title.
