Silve Racing stepping up to MXGP in 2023

The riders of the KTM SILVE Racing Team achieved great results last season and will continue to improve next season. After the first year of cooperation, KTM Nordic has been very satisfied with the work of the entire team. All our expectations and wishes have been fulfilled and even exceeded in the 2022 season. We are looking forward to the upcoming 2023 season and all that it holds.

The Finnish KTM SILVE Racing will rise to the crown of the Motocross World Series in the MXGP together with Jere Haavisto. Silve Racing, which operates as KTM Nordic’s official racing team, already did a few World Championship races and EMXOPEN last season and got wonderful results on domestic tracks, winning, among other things, two Finnish championships. In the coming season, the Finnish team will compete more extensively on international tracks, when Eliel Lehtinen will compete in the European Championship series in the EMX250 class.

Petteri Silvennoinen / Team Manager: “Last year we signed a contract with KTM Nordic and with this cooperation we have taken a big step forward as a team, which was also reflected in good results. Now we will take a big step again when we move to the MXGP with Jere and Eliel will race the European Championship, but the goal is at least ambitious and motivates us to do things harder and better. We have gained new important parties behind us when we started cooperation with, for example, WP Nordic. These collaborations give us better resources compared to previous years.”

Jere Haavisto / MXGP, MX1: “Last season was successful in terms of results and riding and I am satisfied with my own and the entire team’s development. With the development of last season, the starting points for the upcoming season are very good. Currently, the plan is to start the MXGP from Frauenfeld, Switzerland, and run the most European World Championships. I am very excited about the upcoming season and also confident because everything has worked great with the team all these years. In addition to the MXGP, I will compete in Finland in the MX1-class. I am currently in Spain training and testing for the upcoming season. The new bike has already clocked in comfortably under hours, and I like it even more than last year’s model.”

Eliel Lehtinen / EMX250, MX2:The feelings are really good and I’m looking forward to the upcoming season with great enthusiasm. Now that the team is already one year under, you can make the upcoming season easier with us. It’s great to work with Petter and develop both as a rider and as a team. The long-term work continues with great motivation and I will do my best to achieve my dream of becoming a motocross professional. In the 2023 season, my main goal is in the EMX250 class and also in the MX2-class in Finland . In addition, I want to run other Central European races for race training. I wish everyone and myself a healthy and happy year 2023.”
