At the latest round of the British Championship, Shaun Simpson took a crash putting him out of action for the rest of the day. The Scot has now offered an update on his condition and it looks like he’ll be out of action for a while which is a shame for the British series.
“UPDATE: I’ve had a love hate relationship with Blaxhall for years but last weekend was definitely the worst. First lap of practice I went right over the bars and landed on my back… no problem I thought… until the bike came over my head and landed right on my chest. Stretchered off and blue lighted to hospital I was diagnosed with a broken sternum and 6 broken ribs on my right side. Eventually got released from hospital on the Thursday evening and road tripped back to Scotland. Big thanks to Rachel Simpson24 for picking up my slack and always giving me loads of sympathy. Will keep you guys updated on my recovery”, Simpson stated on social media.
