Ken Roczen and WSX fans and their promoter Adam Bailey took a sharp intake of breath as Ken stabbed his knee in a turn on lap one of the main event in muddy Salt Lake City and rode off the track with the pain too much to take.
Another injury in an unbelievable season means Roczen lost third place in the championship, losing a points tie with Webb on race wins and throwing his WSX season into doubt in what would be a huge blow to the series just days after they announced Roczen had signed a three year deal – and only had to survive this race to be on the gate in England at Villa Park on the first of July. Let’s hope it’s not as bad as it looks.
Roczen out of the race early 😓

Roczen, who exited the race in eerily similar fashsion to Eli Tomac last week, said: “I almost crashed and a put my foot out and absolutely hyper extended my knee and it was a sharp pain right away, that’s why I took that lap easy and went off. I have never really hurt my knee but it didn’t feel good right there. I might have to see what the deal is. Tough.”
