KTM Kosak Racing Team rider Roan van de Moosdijk made his US debut at the legendary RedBud circuit, competing in one of the strongest motocross championships in the world. The Dutch rider delivered an impressive performance throughout the weekend.
Van de Moosdijk surprised many in qualifying by finishing 7th in the B Group , earning an excellent gate position for Moto 1.
Unfortunately, Roan’s first moto came to an early end after just a few laps due to a mechanical issue . Despite the setback, the team remained positive and focused on bouncing back in Moto 2.
Following his retirement in Moto 1, van de Moosdijk had the 35th gate pick for the second race. He was delayed by a crash in the opening corner, losing valuable positions. Nevertheless, the KTM rider produced an outstanding charge through the field, fighting his way from 35th to an impressive 10th place .
Even more remarkable were his lap times, which were consistently at a top 5 pace , underlining the Dutchman’s speed and potential.
“What a day! I enjoyed every single minute of my first AMA Pro Motocross race at RedBud. Despite the mechanical issue and the difficult start in Moto 2, I took away so many positive experiences. I’m already looking forward to Southwick,” said Roan van de Moosdijk after the race.
The team’s American campaign continues next weekend with the Southwick National , where KTM Kosak Racing Team aims to build on the strong performance shown during its impressive AMA Pro Motocross debut at RedBud.
