Jason Anderson pipped Dylan Ferrandis to the fastest time at San Diego on his last lap with the checkered flag out to underline his speed and confidence so far this season. Anderson is looking like the guy to beat right now but said it wasn’t strategic to leave it that late to go fastest, and admitted with the class so deep, everyone is somewhat on the edge and having to push it.
Cooper Webb and Justin Barcia we’re both outside the top ten yet again in 12th and 13th with Eli Tomac in ninth.
In the 250s it looked like Michael Mosiman had closed the gap to Christian Craig until Craig put in a brilliant lap at the end to again show his speed and dominance on the field – but Mosiman might be the guy that has at least a chance tonight.
