Haiden Deegan took the holeshot and controlled the opening moto with Jo Shimoda taking second holding off Tom Vialle.
Deegan said: “I’m just so grateful to get that holeshot, it’s so nice. This track is one of the gnarliest tracks I’ve ever ridden in my life for how slippy it is, it’s gnarly. I took a gamble (using the scoop tyre) it worked for the start, so we will see (if he’ll use it moto two).
Haiden Deegan didn’t use the scoop tyre in race two but still holeshot leading every lap as Tom Vialle worked his way into second and even closed slightly on Deegan, but the American always had it under control. RJ Hampshire had another big crash this time trying to hold off Vialle.
