Haiden Deegan took the win but only after he passed Max Anstie and Levi Kitchen in the last ten minutes… and he benefitted from a huge crash by race leader Chance Hymas who was 5 seconds out front with about 5 minutes to when a braking bump kicked him over the bars with the bike landing on him.
Here’s what happened to your leader 🤯

Hymas thankfully was eventually able to remount and ride back to the pits. Tom Vialle’s title challenge all but ended on lap one when he went down trying to pass Deegan for fourth. Vialle restarted last then pulled into the pits for repairs but didn’t make it back into the points.
Young British talent, Charlie Heyman, had a great ride going from 30th to 21st in his AMA debut, and that gave him one point with the unorthodox US scoring system!
Deegan said: “That moto was so fun, I don’t have any pressure on me anymore, Tom wasn’t near me and he’s the only one really in contention.”
In race two it was Levi Kitchen who took the second moto and overall but it was more frustration for Honda after Chance Hymas pulled out during the moto due tontge effects of that first moto crash and then, with five laps to go, as he was pressuring Kitchen for the lead, Shimoda went down and left the track in a sling!
Haiden Deegan settled for second with Vialle third but it was Jalek Swoll who did enough in fourth to give Triumph their first outdoor podium in the USA.
