Race results: WSX Australian GP – SX2

Shane McElrath took the world title win with a last moto race win despite a charge from Anstie who was his closest challenger in the points chase!

Anstie would have needed a mistake or a hard pass on McElrath to win the title in the final moto but McElrath never made a mistake under MAXimum pressure and Anstie couldn’t quite get close enough to make the move he needed.

So the fast and consistent McElrath took the WSX crown from Anstie leaving Max to rue those bad starts in Cardiff despite winning two of the six mains over two rounds to McElrath’s one.
