Race One: Larissa Papenmeier got the holeshot in front of her home crowd but it didn’t take Daniela Guillen long to get to the front and as soon as she did she ran into the distance.

Fontanesi followed Guillen past Papenmeier for second and the Italian rode really well in very technical and rutty conditions.

Van Drunen was sixth on the first lap before working her way into fourth and then she was behind Papenmeier. It took the Dutch talent a while to get around her but she finally made the move to finish third.

As she was taking the last lap board Guillen had a scary moment as a backmarker very nearly landed on her but thankfully she didn’t!

The championship gap is now only four points heading into race two tomorrow.

Race Two: After overnight rain track conditions were wet for the second race and there was plenty of chaos. Lotte van Drunen got wheel spin coming out of the gate which saw her dead last at the start but it was Valk loving the tough and wet conditions.

Guillen who was in the top ten on lap one then collided with Seleboe who crashed right in front of her leaving the Spaniard nowhere to go so she had a lot of work to do dropping behind Van Drunen.

Valk was way out at the front but then got docked two spots for not respecting waved yellow flags.

Fontanesi was sitting with the GP overall but then with two minutes to go crashed and threw it away.

It means that Papenmeier who was second was effectively leading the race after Valk’s penalty and despite Van Drunen catching her, the German was able to bring it home and the overall win with it in front of her home crowd – amazing!

There is now 8 points to split Van Drunen and Guillen in the exciting championship chase.
