Race One: It was Romain Febvre leading the way on the first lap but it didn’t take Gajser long to get into second. The pair set an incredibly high pace and put on a masterclass of how to ride the tricky track of Arco di Trento.
With three to go Gajser made a decisive pass on Febvre but the Frenchman didn’t give up – he was right on him and it was looking like a grand stand finish before Febvre crashed but he still managed to finish second.
Lucas Coenen rode a solid lonely race for third ahead of Maxime Renaux who had some pressure behind from Glenn Coldenhoff.
