Race One:Â The first moto was all about Jeremy Seewer! He was leading on lap one and ran into the distance, riding like that it’s hard to believe that’s his first race win of the year and first race win on the Kawasaki.
There was chaos at the start as Febvre and Herlings touched which saw the Kawasaki man go down before he even got to the first corner. Herlings crashed on the first lap as an edge caught him out.
Meanwhile there was an intense battle for second with Maxime Renaux making things tricky behind him. Prado huffed and puffed but couldn’t make a pass stick and then with three to go the French rider actually pulled away! Gajser got close to Prado but made a mistake with two to go. Prado was visibly very frustrated crossing the finish line!
Fernandez crashed out of fifth on the final lap allowing Bonacorsi to round out the top five. Febvre came back from last to seventh with Herlings tenth.
Race Two:Â Prado executed his start in race two to lead but he had Gajser for company and there wasn’t much to split the pair the first twenty minutes. Herlings was also watching closely in third after a burn to the wrist in the first moto.
With ten minutes to go Prado had a couple of laps were he just upped the pace and that was enough to take a vital race win.
Seewer and Renaux didn’t get good starts and Renaux also had a crash to make things worse. Seewer was able to get back to sixth to secure a podium.
Coldenhoff had a big crash on Saturday and was riding in pain but had a strong fifth in moto two.
There’s now 14 points between Gajser and Prado with two to go – it is all to play for!
