Race One: It was on at the front as Jorge Prado got the holeshot but Tim Gajser was right there for the first couple of laps. But Prado rode sensational to pull away at the front to take a very impressive race win.
Jeffrey Herlings didn’t get the best of starts and then had to go out wide around turn two which resulted in a three place penalty so despite getting back to third he finished sixth due to the docking.
Seewer had a solid ride for third but it’s what could have been for Alberto Forato who passed him and would have been third before a late crash but he still ended up an impressive fifth behind Romain Febvre.
Race Two: Prado was leading on the opening lap but Herlings this time managed to get himself a good start and was applying the pressure at the front. Prado though wanted to stay at the front but then went off the track and went back to fourth.
Febvre was riding really well to finish second, Gajser was trying to catch him to pass him to at least take the overall win but then had a small tip over.
Prado cruised around to finish fourth but it was still good enough for the overall win as well as his fourth world title and there’s no better way to do it than in front of his home fans – the crowd went mad!
