Race results: EMX250 RD6 – France

Race One:

It hasn’t been the season Hakon Fredriksen would have been expected coming into the season but since leaving BUD Kawasaki to join the Riley Yamaha race team he looks a lot more comfortable. In the first EMX250 race of the day it was Kevin Horgmo who took the holeshot but after he crashed out of the lead, Fredriksen controlled things at the front to take a superb win.

EMX250 rookie, Andrea Bonacorsi rode well to pass Caornelius Toendel for second in what was a Yamaha 1-2-3! Championship leader, Nicholas Lapucci had a disaster of a first lap after getting caught up in a pile up and later crashed as well but battled through to twelfth spot.

It was a fantastic day for Hakon Fredriksen who went 1-2 to take his first overall win of the season on his Riley Yamaha Racing team.

Andrea Bonacorsi had another good day on his Hutten Metaal Yamaha to take another podium, that’s two on the bounce for the talented Italian. French fans also saw Tom Guyon take his first podium of the season on his VHR KTM.
