Race results: EMX125 RD5 – Ernee – Valk victorious

With a lot of rain hitting the Ernee circuit, conditions completely changed from the EMX250 moto. From a perfect race track to a very wet and muddy circuit.

Ivano van Erp held the early lead in the opening race but then took a crash which left Alexis Fueri at the front who was looking good for the win until three laps to go when he made a mistake – it was easy done in very tricky conditions.

Unfortunately for Fueri it was his championship rival, Cas Valk who benefitted to take the race win.

Karlis Alberts Reisulis held the early lead in the second moto which was still a tricky race track. The organizers did a brilliant job over night improving track conditions from yesterday.

Ivano van Erp passed Reisulis for the lead and looked to have the win in the bag but with three laps to go collided with a backmarker which seen Reisulis get back in the lead. Valk then closed in on Reisulis with a couple of laps to go but in the end the Latvian held strong to take his first moto win of the year with Valk winning the overall.
