Roczen had an 8 second lead at one point but in the last five minutes Webb picked up the pace as Roczen dealt with back markers and, with two to go, Webb was on Roczen’s back wheel but the German kept his cool, upped the pace and stayed strong for the win in a brilliant ride under pressure in the rain and music Philadelphia.
Roczen; who lapped fifth place and has a four point lead in the championship, said: “The pressure has been there for a long time but it’s just dealing with it on the weekend. This was such an important race. My hard work is paying off.”

250 East: Rising superstar, Cole Davies, clinched his first AMA title in the mud and also had to deal with a red flag with seven minutes to go! Davies stayed cool in the mud out front to become the second New Zealander after his coach Ben Townley, to win an AMA Supercross title. And, with his talent, it could be the first of many.
