Race One: In the first ADAC Youngsters Cup moto of the weekend, it was Dutch talent, Dave Kooiker who took the win. After missing the 2023 season through injury, the Dutch talent has returned and is already looking fast early in the season. It was a Dutch 1-2-3 as Smulders finished second ahead of the consistent Bradley Mesters.

Race Two: Bence Pergel got the holeshot in the second moto and was riding well on his HTS KTM but Kooiker got himself into the lead with Mesters quickly following him through. The Dutch pair had a nice battle with Kooiker leading on the final lap and despite some pressure, he was able to make it two from two.

Race Three: In the final moto of the weekend, Kooiker got a great start and pulled away at the front. Mesters didn’t get the best of starts but made a number of passes to get into second. The Kosak KTM rider was six seconds behind Kooiker but was able to close it right down but then make a mistake hurting his shoulder without crashing – dropping him down to seventh. Gruetmann had his best ride of the weekend with a second securing him a podium.

Despite having the perfect weekend winning all three moto’s, Mesters is the new championship leader heading to round three.
