It was an exciting MXGP qualifying race which saw Tom Vialle lead on the first lap as Lucas Coenen collided with another rider in mid-air and then crashed – he was dead last and then pulled out of the race.
Jeffrey Herlings also had drama on the opening lap which saw him go down. Meanwhile, Ruben Fernandez passed Vialle to take a very impressive win.
Febvre then passed Vialle for second and Herlings pulled off a superb pass on Gajser on the final lap for fourth – he was right on Vialle!
Kevin Horgmo had a strong ride for sixth on his SR Honda.
