Lucas Coenen took the holeshot and led every lap of the MXGP qualifying race. Romain Febvre was riding great in second and kept things close at the front but couldn’t get close enough to mount a serious challenge.
Jeffrey Herlings decided to take the most outside gate at the start and it didn’t work, he was outside the top ten on the first lap and could only get back up to sixth.
Pauls Jonass had a great race to finish in third ahead of Tom Vialle.
Calvin Vlaanderen was strong at home rounding out the top five.
