Qualifying race results: MX2 World Championship RD3 – Riola

It was the Yamaha’s who came flying out of the gate with Rick Elzinga leading the way from his team mate, Thibault Benistant on the first lap.

Lucas Coenen looked to have a good start but then crashed around the first corner causing a pile up.

Kay de Wolf was on a mission passing both Yamaha riders and not looking back dominating in really rough conditions.

The battle was on for second but Benistant passed his team mate at the right time – he’ll be happy with second.

Elzinga rode well to hold onto third ahead of the impressive Camden McLellan.

Simon Laengenfelder rounded out the top five but there wasn’t much in it between him and ninth!

Coenen ended up recovering to ninth with Adamo twelfth after he was involved in the first corner pile up.
