Simon Längenfelder brought home a comfortable race win after passing Sacha Coenen and then pulling away at the front in very difficult and rocky conditions.
However, the first lap did not go according to plan for Guillem Farres who was actually leading but then crashed out of the lead. At the back of the field he then collided with another rider – that was his race over but hopefully he is okay for tomorrow.
At the front, Liam Everts was on the move and got up to second with Camden McLellan third who held off the impressive Janis Reisulis.
Coenen clearly still isn’t 100% as he faded back to fifth with Kay Karssemakers strong in sixth.
