Qualifying race results: MX2 World Championship RD1 – Argentina

When the gate dropped in the qualifying race it was the fast starting Yamaha’s Jago Geerts and Thibault Benistant who were 1-2 around the first corner. Italian, Andrea Adamo didn’t waste much time as he made a move on Benistant and put the pressure on Geerts for the lead.

Belgian talent, Geerts controlled things at the front to take a strong win. Liam Everts rode a great race and finished fourth ahead of Benistant. Factory KTM will be happy to see both their riders finish in the top four.  Simon Laengenfelder also showed good speed to finish third but wasn’t far away.

Kay de Wolf didn’t get the best of starts but came from tenth to sixth ahead of his team mates, Roan van de Moosdijk and Lucas Coenen.

There were two non starts – Camden Mc Lellan who we believe dislocated his shoulder and Mikkel Haarup who had issues during timed practice but will take to the line for the races tomorrow.
