Official: The Netherlands draft in Glenn Coldenhoff for 2026 MXoN

The Dutch selection for the Motocross of Nations (MXoN) is complete once again. Glenn Coldenhoff has joined TeamNL and will compete in the world championship for the national team alongside Jeffrey Herlings and Roan van de Moosdijk. This means the Netherlands will line up with three 2026 champions behind the starting gate in Ernée, France, from October 2–4.

Earlier, Kay de Wolf was ruled out of the MXoN. An injury that initially appeared harmless turned out to be more serious than expected, shortly after the team selection was announced. His place in TeamNL will now be filled by another major name: Glenn Coldenhoff.

From the World Championship to Brazil

Glenn competed in the Brazilian Championship this season, where he secured the title last weekend. At the end of August, he made his ‘last dance’ at the highest level during a one-off appearance at the MXGP of Arnhem. The 35-year-old Brabant native, who has won six Grand Prix’s during his career, showed that he still belongs among the world’s best, finishing fifth overall in the day’s results.

However, his real farewell at World Championship level will now be postponed until the MXoN in Ernée. Either way, it promises to be a memorable weekend!

Fourteenth MXoN Selection

For Glenn, this will be his fourteenth selection for TeamNL’s Nations team. With the Netherlands, he has finished second four times and third once. The highlight was the Netherlands’ first-ever MXoN victory in Assen in 2019. Coldenhoff won both of his races there (just as he did in 2018) and played a crucial role in the victory.

TeamNL will also be targeting gold in Ernée. With Jeffrey Herlings (MXGP World Champion), Glenn Coldenhoff (Brazilian Champion), and Roan van de Moosdijk (German Champion), the Netherlands is certainly one of the teams to watch.

MX Nationals Heerde

Before the MXoN, the MX Nationals in Heerde will take place next Sunday, September 27. This is the perfect opportunity to see newly crowned world champion Jeffrey Herlings and Glenn in action!

Glenn will compete in the 500cc class, while also riding an MX2 machine in the 250cc class. Fans will also have the chance to get a photo, poster, and autograph during a meet-and-greet event.
