Jett Lawrence continued his perfect win streak to clinch the 2023 450 outdoor AMA championship with two rounds left to go in a series of riding lessons for the competition.
Lawrence held Sexton and Ferrandis off to win race one before dominating the competition in race two to clinch the title.
An emotional Jett said: “This is an unreal opportunity. With this championship, I haven’t even dreamed of this. We never thought it was possible to be where we are today, and to do it undefeated so far, it’s very emotional for me with all the hard times we’ve gone through. As soon as I went over the finish line, the emotions came out. I’m glad I’ve been able to execute this for Honda, they took a chance on us.”
