After a winter without many major competitions, MAC Lierop will kick off the Motocross season in 2023 in collaboration with Motocrossplanet.nl.
On Sunday the 5th of March they will organize a big ”Warm Up competition” on the legendary circuit De Herselse Bossen under the name Dutch MX Season Opener.
The race in Lierop is the week before the first Grand Prix in Argentina and two weeks before the start of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Harfsen. For the riders it will be the perfect opportunity to gain some extra racing rhythm.
Four classes will start on the day:
-85cc
-125cc
-250cc
-500cc
The organization will use the winter period to prepare everything well so that the 2023 MX season can start in a beautiful way on one of the most popular circuits of The Netherlands.

That is a shame. Because nothing was planned in the Netherlands on March 5, we came up with the idea to organize a big ”Warm Up competition”. This can be an interesting race for both the Grand Prix, EMX and ONK riders to gain some extra race rhythm before their competition starts. The coming period will be all about preparing everything well so that we can put a great new competition on the Dutch calendar.”
