Lefrançois on his British Arenacross title

The Arencross UK series finished at the weekend and it was a great series for Charles Lefrançois on his SR75 Suzuki as he won the pro 450cc title – his first big championship win.

Heading into the season Reardon and Ramette were the favourites to take the title but Lefrançois rode really strong at all five rounds, as well as a few wins his consistency won him the title.

“Each race is really different in the Arenacross UK series. The dirt is completely different from in France or in Germany for example and it is strange to change the way of the track for the second day. As in Belfast, I think it is good because it changes and it permits to start over. I am so happy, it is my first major title, I am glad with the way I won this championship that I lead from start to finish. I was stressed but positive stress for the last race because everything could swing one way or the other.  But I gave all my best and I didn’t give up. I did it!”.

“Of course I like this series because it’s very particular. I like the race format, the show, the riders presentation, that is very professional. I would like to thanks all my SR75 team who trusts me for two years now. The last season I finished vice champion so I am really happy to bring this title to my team because Geoff is very involved to allow us with Nico to be in good conditions”, Lefrançois told GateDrop.com.
