A new chapter begins in the career of the 19-year-old motocross rider from Switzerland,
Kevin Brumann, as he signed a contract with the German Husqvarna team SixtySeven
Racing under team boss Markus Weinbuch. Next year, he will be at the gate for the entire
motocross world championship, including overseas races in the enormously strong MXGP
class on a 450cc Husky. “Brumi” will also compete in the highly competitive German ADAC
MX Masters series.
For the rider from Aargau, who has ridden successfully on Yamaha his entire career, the
commitment to SixtySeven Racing provides a great opportunity. Healthwise, Brumann is on
track to have a great off-season and preparation in the winter as his late-season injuries are
fully recovered. In addition to a training camp in Spain, the Swiss rider’s schedule includes
tests in January and participation in preseason races in England and France.
Important building blocks from last season will remain in place, such as the cooperation with riding coach Joel Roelants or his training mechanic Bjorn Stockmans. Kevin’s life centre will continue to be in Lommel, Belgium.
“I am already very excited about my new team,” Kevin Brumann looks ahead. “With World Championship and Masters, we have put together a good package, and I am highly motivated to have a good season. I would also like to thank my previous team, JK Racing Yamaha, for the good time.”
