Despite the rain in Spain, Lisa Leyland has caught up with Joel Smets who says Marc-Antoine Rossi will be out for around three months as he gets surgery on his shoulder in a bid for Rossi to come back at 100% and show his real potential.
On a more uplifting note, Smets spoke about Jeffrey Herlings getting back on the bike yesterday, saying:
“Positive news, Jeffrey has been back on the bike for the first time, actually yesterday, of course that is only a first step after four and a half months, there is still a long way to go. We are going to take it week by week, I don’t want to put a date on him coming back, he will be back when we and especially he thinks he is ready for it.”
Herlings is set to race the first round of the Dutch Masters on the 30th of March but we need to wait and see when he’ll make his MXGP return.
