An open Jett Lawrence has spoken about the devastating news that his ACL is “cooked” and that he is out for at least four months, ending his supercross title defense hopes early just when he had got back within reach of the red plate – and he didn’t even crash!

Jett, who has just suffered the most serious of his career, in the most innocuous incident, said:
“Little update, ended up tearing my ACL, it is cooked in other words and a slight tear in my meniscus. I am going for surgery tomorrow at 11.30 going to get that fixed up and have four months to recover the doctor said. I was really bummed, hoping the worst would be none bruising but sadly not… it’s sad but we will come back stronger and healthier for fingers crossed maybe outdoors is the goal. We will see, thanks to the fans and kind messages from everyone.”
