Interview: Glenn Coldenhoff on Hawkstone and MXGP 2022

Glenn Coldenhoff ended the day on a high at Hawkstone with a win in the superfinal to enter the 2022 MXGP world championship comfortable and confident on the Yamaha.

“I have been testing a lot last year a lot, this winter I said okay, I choose this set-up, maybe a little bit we will test suspension like today, but other than that I will race the bike I have now all season,” said Glenn. “I am happy with the bike, the bike is good, it’s suiting me more than last year, let’s say, I’m happy.

“I work so hard for this, last season was very, very tough for me. I expected to do a lot better than what I’d shown. Mentally it’s quite tough but as you say we also had some good races. Like I say, this winter season had been great for me, I’m happy where I’m at.”

We caught up with Glenn after his win to talk about the day, the upcoming season, that switch to the Yamaha last year and his hopes for his second season on blue. Get the full interview below:
