Billy Askew showed the world his talent with a sensational ride in moto two at Lommel to take the win on his Dirt Store Triumph. Askew even showed his composure under pressure after a penultimate lap mistake didn’t faze Britain’s highly talented youngster, who simply regrouped and got back into his flow on the last lap to secure his first moto win in EMX250 – and what a place to do it!
Billy said: “This is my first time here, I don’t really ride sand too much, so every time I go on track I feel better and I just clicked and I felt really good.
“I always feel I always ride better in the lead, so I sort of control myself, I can think what I’m doing other than trying to pass. I quite enjoy being in the lead, yeah there’s a lot of pressure to win, but I felt pretty comfortable, made a few mistakes, but I felt pretty good.”
