Motocross can give you some incredible moments — and it can just as quickly knock you down.
For August Frisk, last weekend racing the Swedish Championship round in Linköping was one of those tough reminders of how quickly things can change. He put his foot out and knew straight away that he tore his ACL.
The Swede travelled to France to give it a go and despite qualifying sixth fastest only lasted two laps in the race. He’ll now focus on his recovery to return in 2026.
Frisk revealed the news via social media:
Last weekend at MXSM in Linköping I slid out in the second moto, put my foot out and ended up tearing my ACL. Knew it instantly when it had happened. Decided to try and give it a shot this weekend but it just didn’t work.
Life can be tough sometimes and you have to deal with difficult situations. I’m happy to have come back like I did after the ”24” season. Winning in Switzerland after only being on the bike for just over 2 months was a big accomplishment!
I would like to thank all of my supporters for cheering on me and the team of people I have around me! I couldn’t do anything of it without you. I’ve got a lot of hours of rehab and training ahead of me, but luckily, I like to put in the work! See y’all in 26’
