It hasn’t been the season that Italian talent, Alberto Forato would have wanted after signing with Standing Construct Honda for the 2024 season.
Forato had surgery before round one in Argentina but went there and tried to race before pulling out. The Italian was set to return at round two in Spain before a practice crash.
He suffered 8 broken ribs as well as a collapsed lung so has been focused on his recovery but the good news is he is now back on a bike.
“Super day today, first time back on the bike!! Nothing to say just super happy about that and let’s start building up again”, Forato revealed on social media.
Tim Mathys, the Standing Construct Honda team owner also give us the following update a few weeks ago:
Alby is working hard to be healthy and fit again. We evaluate it day by day; from the moment we think he is ready he will be back behind the gate. Of course we need to be realistic. Alberto will need some time, but I am sure with what I saw in winter and how I heard he is working hard he will be towards the end of the season in the top 10.
Hopefully we’ll see him back at the races in the foreseeable future.
