There have been several candidates in the running for Denmark’s team at MXoN this year, where it has been important for DMU to field a team that both has enough experience in the relevant machine classes as well as the level needed to reach the top 20 at MXoN.
In addition, emphasis has been placed on selecting drivers who have a good knowledge of each other, and thus can cooperate as best as possible both outside and on the track.
The Danish MXoN team thus consists this year of Mathias Birkemose Jørgensen (MX1), Magnus Smith (MX2) and Glen Meier (MX Open), all of whom have gathered a lot of experience from international championship races and who are extremely seasoned drivers.
In their assessment of potential drivers, they have also looked at whether they are currently injured or competing in smaller machine classes in other races in the run-up to MXoN, which will make it difficult to train for participation in a higher machine class within a short time.
We look forward to seeing the Danish boys fight for Denmark and hope that they come home with a great result.
