Haiden Deegan says he is no longer working with Christian Craig on an individual basis and is now back to his previous training regime with former GP rider, Gareth Swanepoel, as he looks to find the speed and dominance he desires in the West Coast supercross series to win the title.
Deegan told Lewis Phillips:
“I’m back working with Swanie. Back to my old program. I tried something and, no hate to anybody, I just didn’t feel like it fit me as good as it should and that’s kind of what the team thought. So back training with Swanie and I am feeling good. I had two weeks to really work hard and I want to win really bad. It’s pretty much what I told Swanie I will do anything at this point to get back to where I was, winning and dominant“.
Let’s see if the change makes the difference for Deegan to be the dominant guy everyone expected out West or if points leader, Beaumer and young gun Davies plus Triumph’s Jordon Smith can keep the pressure on the pre-season favourite – they will all get three chances to prove it in the triple-crown this week in Dallas!
