Confirmed: Tom Guyon to race the MX2 World Championship in 2022

Young French talent, Tom Guyon has some good and bad news. The bad news is that his season is over due to injury and he’s also had his last race with the VHR KTM team.

The good news is that Guyon has confirmed he’ll step up to race the MX2 World Championship for the 2022 season. There’s no doubting the talent that Guyon has if he can avoid injury and he’ll be looking to run with the very best next year.

“Hello everyone, as you can see I was not present at the last round of the European Championship. Unfortunately, due to my injury, I will not finish the season either so as not to aggravate the injury. So it’s a premature end for me with Team VHR. I didn’t want to end my season with an injury but unfortunately a really complicated year for me, but I will retain the positive of this season all the same with good performances”, Guyon stated on social media.

“I would like to thank the VHR Team for this season and I wish them good luck. I will keep you informed soon about my new team and for next season I will participate in my first season in the MX2 World Championship”, added Guyon.

It’s now been confirmed that Guyon has signed with the VRT KTM team – a team he’s rode for in the past and knows well. The team have focused on the European championships in the past but will run Guyon an MX2 Grand Prix rider in 2022.
