Despite Lucas and Sacha signing a multi-year deal to stay in GPs, the Lawrence brothers agent , Lucas Mirtl has revelead the Coenens are still planning on going to the US eventually – probably 2026 or 2027.
Both boys have just turned 17 and Lucas doesn’t want to rush the Belgian due as they have time on their side.
Lucas said in reply to Denny Stephenson questioning why they weren’t coming in 2025, which was widely believed to be the initial timeline for the brothers to hit the USA: “26/27,” asserted Lucas, “they are only young mate,16, no better place to race and learn before coming here, no rush.”
