Heading into 2023, Francisco Garcia had initially signed with the SB KTM team to move up to the EMX250 series but he has now parted ways with the team.
The young Spaniard has now inked a deal with Mequitec GasGas racing and will spend the 2023 once again focused on the EMX125 championship.
The team posted the update below:
Franciso García will compete in the 125 European Championship upon reaching an agreement with Jordi Larregola, owner of Mequitec Racing, who will also have the support of GasGas.
Jordi Larregola: “When I found out about the difficult situation that Fran was experiencing when he separated from the team where he was, I did not hesitate for a moment to offer my help and although Fran had several offers from other teams, he decided to come to Mequitec Racing where I will try to support him in the best way. I will organize a small structure for him but with everything he will need to return to the place that belongs to him. Now it’s time to start working together to be competitive again as soon as possible.”
