Chambers injured in Germany – too many ruts?

It was a tough weekend for injures in the sport, with not only Jeffrey Herlings injured but also Kevin Horgmo in a start straight crash and now Jack Chambers has confirmed he has a broken ankle after getting cross rutted on a track that left no margin for error and big consequences, we even saw Tom Vialle go down hard in the ruts, on a straight, in Colorado – are too many ruts making the tracks too dangerous?

The unlucky Chambers, who has showed promise since he made the move to the MX2 world championship, said: “Completely gutted to make this post😩… During the qualifying race on Saturday I sustained a broken ankle after getting cross rutted going up the biggest hill on the track. I almost had it saved, but as I went off the track a strap from the overhead banner/tower caught my wheel and put me down hard. So bummed to have such a rough go with bad luck lately. I will take this time to reflect on the amazing experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve met… Down but don’t count me out, I’ll be back.”
