Benoit Paturel parts ways with De Baets Yamaha

Benoit Paturel had a positive 2023 with new team in the paddock, De Baets Yamaha. He was able to stay injury free for most the season just missing the one GP in Germany which was important for his career.

The French talent ended up twelfth in the MXGP World Championship standings in what was a good rebuilding year for his career.

Paturel has confirmed that he’s parted ways with the De Baets Yamaha team as they can’t find the budger required for another full year of MXGP World Championship racing – a real shame!

“Breaking News. De Baets MX Team and myself is finished, the team can’t find the budget for make another season MXGP. For my future I really don’t know what it is going to be, I will fight again to rebound another time, looking for something new. Thanks to Hans Corvers for sticking behind me on bad and good times”, Paturel shared on social media.

We believe that the De Baets Yamaha team will remain in the paddock with two EMX125 riders yet to be revealed as well as WMX sensation, Lotte van Drunen.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Paturel, it’s not going to be easy to secure another MXGP ride this late in the year but fingers crossed he can find something.
