Barcia down hard as Tomac and Anderson win Atlanta heats

Justin Barcia crashed out of the lead of heat one in spectacular style but somehow managed to remount and take a detuned eighth but still made the main event! A conservative Eli Tomac took the win saying the track is a lot slicker than it looks to the eye.

An aggressive Jason Anderson clinched the win in heat two passing Ferrandis and early leader Plessinger to make good on his fastest qualifying time but again mentioned how slick the track was. Ken Roczen almost crashed on lap one but got by a fast Max Anstie for fourth on the last lap with Webb also finding his way past the HEP Suzuki rider on the final circulation after a terrible start for the championship leader.

Feld have also announced the main events will be two minutes shorter due to the weather: “We will be adjusting the Main Event length for tonight’s racing due to track conditions The time for 250SX Main Event will be 13 minutes plus 1 lap and the 450SX Main Event will be 18 minutes plus 1 lap.”
