Ashden Barlow injury update

Ashden Barlow had a scary crash on Sunday at Hawkstone Park in the second 125 race and received immediate medical attention thanks to a quickly called red flag. His family have provided an update on his condition via Facebook.

Ashden had a horrific accident yesterday at Hawkstone International MX as I was first one there the state of him will haunt me for life!! I thought I was loosing him.
Hawkstone medics done an amazing job 🙏.

Transferred to Shrewsbury hospital Ct scan showed internal bleeding and two breaks to his spine and damage to his spinal cord no movement in his right side and being told there’s a chance he’ll never walk again.

I have never felt so much pain in my life seeing him like this!!!

Rushed to stoke spine specialist had an mir scan straight in to theatre for 6hrs find out the break was worse then they thought plated over 8 vertebrates. This morning he moved his toes 🙏🙏.

Ashden is going to have to work harder than ever now. Please get behind this boy he needs it

Ashden update 2:

He is now in the icu as he is in need of a little bit more of a helping hand at the moment. He is doing so well and we are so proud of him it’s unreal he still has his cheeky ways going about himself keeping us laughing.

It was lovely to of had his mother’s family for support and brother. Hadleigh and Kate are currently with him and me an chris are in the waiting room. we all constantly get to alternate so ashden doesn’t get bored of listening to us for to long at any one point lol.
