Official: Netherlands select 2026 MXoN riders

The Netherlands will line up behind the start gate at the Motocross of Nations (MXoN) in France with an incredibly strong team: Jeffrey Herlings, Kay de Wolf and Roan van de Moosdijk will defend the Dutch colours from October 4-6 in Ernée.

The Motocross of Nations (MXoN) is the annual world championship for national teams. Each of the three selected riders competes in their own class (MXGP, MX2, MX Open), with the combined results determining the overall team title.

MXGP: Kay de Wolf

Kay won the MX2 class at the MXoN two years in a row. With four podium finishes already this season, along with numerous top-five results, the former MX2 World Champion has shown in his debut MXGP season that he is immediately among the very best in the class.

MX2: Roan van de Moosdijk

Roan is enjoying a strong season with multiple top-10 results in the MXGP class. On top of that, he claimed the title in the highly competitive German ADAC MX Masters championship last weekend.

MX Open: Jeffrey Herlings

With his speed and dominance, Jeffrey is once again raising the level of MXGP. The five-time World Champion leads the MXGP standings by a comfortable margin after securing ten GP victories. He could already seal that championship this coming weekend at the Grand Prix of Turkey.

World title and podium opportunities

Ahead of the MXoN in early October, Herlings and De Wolf still have a busy race schedule with major opportunities for success. For Jeffrey, as mentioned, that means a World Championship title. Kay de Wolf still has podium opportunities across the final three GPs of the season. Roan, meanwhile, will be fully focused on the MXoN throughout September.
