Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen are still in the title fight, both 20 points back but it feels they are holding unto their title shot by their fingernails with Lawrence and Tomac creeping away.
And, talking to VitalMX’s Lewis Phillips, Webb acknowledged he needs to close down the poinys gap with rounds running out: “We need a rebound, right? Especially at the halfway point, we need to start making some progress. I’m confident that I’m still in this thing. And I know that just from years and years it’s never over and you never know in racing it can swing so quickly.But there is some urgency to have a good result. Try to at least not go back like we were last weekend at Daytona, right? We need to make some gains forward. Whether it’s big or small, I don’t think it matters.But there is some urgency.”
