Eli Tomac is just four points behind last weekend’s winner, Hunter Lawrence, and with Daytona this weekend, maybe Eli’s favourite venue, the Colorado native has put on an extension to his Colorado practice track to try and replicate the unique nature of the Daytona track.
And an excited Eli said: “Maybe favorite SX moto day of the year. Daytona sand wash extension and some snow melt hero dirt.”
Tomac said of the four-way title battle after Arlington: “There’s so many of us now, like the four or five of us, you can’t expect to have a huge point gap because it’s just, we’re all really consistent and, yeah, they say it’s like the most packed year, but at the same time, it’s the same four or five of us are really showing ourselves. We’re making our way to the front. So those big points gaps get harder and harder to happen.”
Tomac, despite a long career, is clearly enjoying life on the KTM and even enjoying the weekday grind!
